I had been producing a lot of Electronic music and needed an escape so I started working on a concept album I called 'Rilo and Bek'. Wanted to play the blues again, was thinking of a sound with just guitar and drums. Was listening to a lot of lofi blues and so then I made this. Three years later some of these demos became the first songs we re-produced as the Copper States.
